Opportunities

Due to our lovely location and the wildlife that we encounter here at the Fishery we have decided to open the fishery to photographers.

Tess (owners wife) is a very keen wildlife photographer and is photographing the wildlife on a daily basis, although it is different sort of wildlife than what she is used to. Tess lived in Africa and works all over Southern and East Africa, so is more in tune with photographing elephants and lions than ducks and geese.

The opportunities at the lake are wonderful, as there is always something on or around the lake to photograph. In spring we get all the little babies and this year were very privileged to have swans nesting on the edge the lake making for photography opportunities.

There are kingfisher flying around the lake almost every day, although they are a little more difficult to catch on camera.

Photography Days

The idea of photography days at the fishery is to open the lake up for photography groups or individuals to come down and enjoy the surrounds, and hopefully get some wonderful shots of the wildlife. These will be pre booked and paid for.

A photography group can book the whole lake for a day or half a day for its members or and individual can book a slot on a specific day set aside for photographers.

Either of these options need to be booked in advance.

Photography days will be posted in advance on Instagram or Facebook.

Booking

Book a 3 hour session at the lake for £10.00. Spaces are limited to 4 people per session and session times are:

08h00 – 11h00
11h00 - 14h00
14h00 - 17h00

Tea and coffee available on site in the fishing hut (donation). There are benches around the lake and please bring portable hides if you would like. We have one available to use. (donation)
