AMPORT TROUT FISHERY RULES

• A valid fishing ticket must be purchased before fishing begins. Strictly fly fishing only.

• All fish caught must be retained. There is no catch-and-release policy.

• All anglers must have their own landing nets and priests.

• All fish must be weighed and recorded in the fishery log located in the fishing shed.

• All anglers must hold a current and valid fishing license for the day.

• Please wear suitable clothing; beachwear is not permitted.

• Do not leave lengths of line, flies, or litter around the fishery.

• Once you reach your limit, you must stop fishing. Additional tickets may be purchased if desired.

• No wading or swimming in the lake.

• Rods may not be shared between anglers.

• Fish must not be gutted anywhere on the premises.

• Children are welcome but must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

• Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior permission only.

• Please keep mobile phones on silent while fishing — ringtones disturb the peace and the fish!

 

Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave the fishery.
