After nearly six months of closure, we are delighted to announce that we are now open again.

Last year proved challenging, with unusually low water levels, ongoing weed management, and difficulties maintaining fish supplies. It was a trying period for us, and we truly appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our regular visitors.

We are pleased to confirm that a full weed cut has now been completed and the lake has been successfully restocked.

We warmly welcome both our regulars and new clients and look forward to seeing you back on the water.

Amport Trout Fishery is a small, stillwater trout fishery set in the picturesque county of Hampshire, just a few miles from Andover, conveniently located off the A303 near the villages of Thruxton and Amport.

Fed by gin-clear chalk springs, the lake remains cool and beautifully clear throughout the year. The exceptional water clarity creates the perfect environment for stalking fish, making it an ideal venue for fly fishing. Well stocked with quality Rainbow Trout, the lake offers a relaxed, tranquil setting for anglers of all abilities.

We are open seven days a week and welcome all ages and levels of experience — from complete beginners to seasoned fly fishers. Secure on-site parking is available for your convenience.
